Matt Oakley is bringing the heat with the single of the summer, “Single This Summer,” releasing on June 28. Neon nights and shots in the moonlight, “Single This Summer” delivers clever messaging of “trying to keep her from being ‘single this summer’.”

“We wanted the tempo and energy to match the storyline and feel like a summer song, not some slow love song,” Oakley states about the song that’ll have you carefree in the summer heat.

Matt Oakley’s first song written with Nashville songwriters including GRAMMY nominated songwriter David Ray Stevens (“Save Me” by Jelly Roll ft. Lainey Wilson, “Son of a Sinner” and more), “Single This Summer” ushers in good vibes in summertime. Oakley sings, “we were two flames burning, red wine and bourbon, leaning on each other for a little southern comfort.”

“Single This Summer” will be available on all streaming platforms June 28. For more on Matt Oakley, follow him on Instagram @mattoakelymusic and TikTok @mattoakley.music.
