Are you ready?  This is one big night for folks living in Northeast Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, Western North Carolina, and even parts of Kentucky and Georgia.  Fact is, every year on July 4th,  Johnson City gets visitors from many states to enjoy this annual tradition.

If you don’t already know what is happening here that night – it’s time you find out!  96.9 WXBQ, along with the folks at Pepsi, Food City, Freedom Hall, and many other awesome sponsors, will present the annual Independence Day show and Fireworks.  This fireworks show, always set to music, is without question one of the best displays in our area.

Before those fireworks go up…get ready for the entertainment!  This year, Noah Spencer will start the entertainment at 6 P.M.  Drew Baldridge will follow at 7:15 p.0., and Tigirlily Gold will start at 8:25.  WXBQ, Food City, Pepsi and Freedom Hall never let us down – always bringing in some of the best country talent for us to enjoy. The fireworks start at 10 p.m.

In addition to the entertainment, and a visit by the WXBQ Rabbit, there will be food trucks and other concessions set up on the grounds.  Those attending are also welcome to bring a picnic dinner with them if they choose.  Bring lawn chairs and blankets and just make yourself comfortable for an afternoon/evening of entertainment, fireworks and fun.

As if all this isn’t enough – there’s a contest going on!  This information from wxbq.com will tell you all you need to know.  And, I hope you have been listening to WXBQ, getting out to the remotes, signing up for your chance to win, and of course calling the contest line when you hear those tones to qualify that way.  Here is your contest info:
